보현보살 권발품

저 무량무변 모든 부처님 처소에 깊이 선근을 심어

모든여래의손으로 그 이마를 만지시리다

만약 다만 쓰기만 하더라도 이 사람은 목숨을 마치어

마땅히 도리천(忉利天)상에 나거든, 이때에 팔만 사천 천녀가

모든 기악을 가지고 와서 만지면 그 사람이 곧 칠보관을 쓰고

하늘 선녀들 중에서도 우락(羽樂)할진대 어찌 하물며

수지 독송하며 바로 생각하여 그 이치를 알아서 설한 바와

같이 수행함이니이리까?

I will plant deep roots in all the Buddhas' abodes, infinite and unchanging.

and touch his forehead with the hands of all the Buddhas.

If he only writes it, he will end his life.

then eighty-four thousand heavenly women will come and touch him with all their instruments

with all their instruments and touch him, and he will be crowned with a cloak of celadon.

and he will be exalted among the heavenly fairies.

And he shall recite the sutra, and shall think straight, and shall understand the reason, and shall do as it is said.

and practise it as it is taught?
