You possess intelligence and a strong ability to solve problems. Your academic credentials are solid, and you have a genuine passion for your work.

However, this group faces an unexpected challenge. They find themselves in a situation where job offers are limited or nonexistent. Their resumes are similar, filled with strong achievements that clearly demonstrate their capabilities. These accomplishments highlight their ability to deliver results under pressure.

It is one thing to produce excellent results when you are given a specific task within an organization. It requires a different skill set to break into the job market and effectively showcase your talents. The challenge lies in attracting the right attention and presenting a compelling message to motivate decision-makers to invite you into their teams.

Having spent many years coaching professionals at all levels, it has become clear that many in this top performance group lack the essential skill of influencing others. The focus has shifted. Success is no longer only about achieving results as a director or leader in your previous job. It now involves persuading others to choose you over many equally qualified candidates.

When your usual methods no longer apply, the question arises: what areas need improvement? What barriers prevent you from trying a different approach? If many candidates claim to be passionate about business growth, what makes you stand out among them?

Perhaps growth is not your core concern. You may be grappling with issues such as attracting and retaining top talent or figuring out how to adapt your production for the future. You might struggle to understand your current customers, let alone identify future ones.

Today, I spoke with a seasoned professional who has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare field. She holds advanced academic degrees and has a track record of strong leadership results.

Yet, she expressed doubt about whether anyone would find value in her LinkedIn profile and the expertise she had to offer. The response to her profile was disappointingly low.

Upon asking her a simple question, she began to recognize that her lack of engagement was due to her reliance on her past approach. She was operating as if she were still fulfilling defined tasks in a previous job.

As our discussion progressed, she started to clarify the specific challenges she wanted to tackle. This clarity will guide her in choosing projects that require her skills and expertise to create innovative solutions that surpass current market offerings in her future career.
