If you are confused, follow this link: https://steemit.chat/channel/steemprentice . It is a chat channel where new Steemians can go and ask questions! It's confusing at first but once you get it, it is fun! Just make sure since you are so young to not give away any personal information of course :)
I'm not allowed in chat rooms unless mom or dad are around. That was the deal for letting me have my own laptop finally!!! Thank you though!
While I completely understand their desire to keep you out of chat rooms, posting and commenting on SteemIt isn't much different. I also wanted to tell you about #steemprentice It's pretty much the place to go for help or questions about SteemIt.
Perhaps they will let you check it out under supervision? If they do let you in and it seems like no one is in the #steemprentice channel, just use
@rubellitefae,@sykochica, or@virtualgrowthin your message. We usually have many windows open and using the @ will notify us that you need attention.
