I'm new and need advice and have a lot of questions!!!
Im saving for college so i can become an author and illustrator and get rich but im not good at either yet but i want stuff to be setup so no one can steal from me!
We arent really like poor or anything but we dont have much money. My dad bought 2 bitcoins last year to help me learn about them because he says its important to understand it and what it does. I watch the price every day and try to figure it out, its crazy stuff people! Bitcoin people are crazy! I just bought steam dollars with the bitcoins my dad told me to save because i think i need my money some place safer than that. I mean i guess it could go up again so i kept half of one but this is all i have right now and what if it goes down again? Maybe i don't understand it but it doesnt feel safe and i know my mom and dad are saving to but its hard for them and i want to learn this stuff on my own so they are letting me try.
All i really know is that i want to go to college some day and its like tonz of money! Can someone tell me about what i need too do just to keep what i have and make it grow hear as fast as possible?
Is there something else i need to do with my steam dollars to earn interest? Is their some way to make money when i cant write every day and most days i cant login because my parents say I can only be here after my homework is done and on weekends. So dont think im mad at you or being mean or ignoring you if i dont answer you for awhile some times. Im not mean i promise!!!!
Like i just want to be able to start college as soon as i turn 18. I mean like i plan to stay here, but if i just went away, would my money go away or would i come back to find it is safe? I found this website called steem.io and they talk about a paper im supposed to read and I tried, but OMG is this english? Maybe im just dumb but that did not make sense to me. My mom read it and tried to explain but there was a lot of stuff i just dont understand about it. I just know this is safer than where i was saving before because my dad says so but i dont even know why! I had my bitcoins on this website called bitfinex because they paid interest then they got hacked and that scared me so when they came back i moved everything too another website called polonex as fast as i cold.
You got hacked at the same time. Did you ever catch the people that did it? Was it the same people? I told my parents i wanted to come here because you gave everyone back all their money. How come you did that but bitfinex didnt? That doesnt make any sense to me.

This is why i want to learn! This came from a site called pixabay.com i didnt make it but it's supercute and she even kinda looks like me so OMG i want to learn to draw like that! I want to write whole books with characters like that its a style of drawing i love but i dont even know what its called but i see it everywhere!
There is a school called Full Sail i see on TV all the time! and it looks perfect does anyone know about it? I googled and some people say good things and other people say bad things. Please I need to know these things people!
I write short stories and poems in school all the time but no one really likes them so i almost gave up i dont know what im doing wrong!
I want to learn programming computers too because it sounds like fun but i don't know where to even start with that!
I guess i just want to learn a lot of stuff so im sorry if you think im a weirdo who cant make up her mind but i love science and math and art and music and i used to do gymnastics and dance too but my new school just isn't fun and i feel like im falling behind because im sooooo bored here! Also I got glasses and braces during the summer and we had to move to a whole new place so i feel like such an outsider this year.
I don't know what else to say.
Sorry for so many questions, when I told my parents about this place and what i wanted to do they said to be careful but since it was what i wanted for my birthday present they asked my uncle to make my account and then set it all up on my laptop so its safe, but they said i needed to ask a lot of questions before i decide to stay here because there is no one my age on here i just hope its not too many questions and you think im dumb for asking so many questions.

The rating is the little number next to a person's username. So if you look at your name, you will see a 33. That means you have a "reputation" of 33. People on Steemit start with 25 so if they go below that, that means they have been flagged and have lowered their reputation through unsavory means.

They're not technically bad guys but they do have a low reputation. I think they are actually "bots" (like robots) who automatically post random stuff on people's articles just to try to get attention. So you may ignore them -that's what I usually do!

Bots can either be good or bad. Some bots simply are programmed to get attention by posting a bunch of bad stuff (like the ones above) but they are usually flagged. The good bots are programmed by people on steemit to do things like search for good articles and well written posts and upvote (or "like) them. There is a bot that automatically checks for plagiarism in people's posts so make sure you don't copy and paste anything! I have a lot to learn about bots too but you don't have to worry about them because there are a lot of people on this website that are determined to get rid of all the bad bots and spammers :)
I would suggest looking into graphic design if you are interested in drawing and illustrating, it's a really popular field with many job opportunities for when you are older!

Very true! Graphic design is a realllllllly wide field to study with a lot to learn, so maybe start taking classes in school that relate to both drawing and computers. I know in high school, I was interested in theatre but my school only had a few classes that I could take. So look for any classes that you think might help. Also, books from the library are a good idea because you can sometimes teach yourself the basics!
I have a class on something i think is related its called visual arts. But it doesnt start until after christmas break.
Also, this is a good idea for when you are a bit older but there is a website called Coursera https://www.coursera.org/ that offers FREE classes from universities and colleges. You do not get graded but then you don't get a "report card" to prove that you took the class. So you can still learn about graphic design on this website, but when you go to job interviews in the future, unless you pay to take the class on Coursera, you can't say "I passed these classes" because you don't have the certificate for proof. Of course, you can tell the people that you took the classes and studied things on your own, but it may not get you as far as people who earn a degree in college. It's a good resource though, one that I wish I knew about before I went to college!

Truly successful people do not need college for becoming rich or powerful, strive for real the knowledge and provide value to people around yourself, this way, opportunities will start appearing in your life.
Learn a skill which is in demand on the market and is appealing to you, take some time to learn it and become a freelancer(here're some useful websites where you can sell your future expertise: upwork.com, fiverr.com), this is an incredibly effective way of gaing practical knowledge when you are starting out.

The comments of people with lower ratings are usually hidden because they "spam" people's posts. That means they post irrelevant or rude (or both) content. For example, neither of the grey comments above have anything to do with your post and they both come from known spammers. It is not your fault if others get low ratings and it doesn't affect you hun!
If you are confused, follow this link: https://steemit.chat/channel/steemprentice . It is a chat channel where new Steemians can go and ask questions! It's confusing at first but once you get it, it is fun! Just make sure since you are so young to not give away any personal information of course :)
