Saturday miles
Saturday is long run day. Temps in 20s and icy roads made it challenging. It took to the local school track instead. Mom walked while I ran. I'm grateful for her support and inspiration. I planned evening bike ride but worn out. The bike can wait until tomorrow.
I wrote a few lines before sleep.
Loneliness riffs
His tired requests;
Careless fingertips
Fumble around hips
He and I sway
And find;
Stray wisps escape
My tumbling tresses
Only to remind;
How gentle his hands
Lace with mine
