Steem Total Value Powered Up - $62 million - July 30, 2021
This is next in my series of posts reviewing the amount and value of powered up STEEM on the Steem blockchain. For previous posts, see the end of this entry.
Noteworthy this week, the number of powered-up STEEM tokens has reached new highs for the last 16 consecutive days (new highs, that is, since I began tracking, in April). The number, percent, and modeled value have all moved up a bit since last week's post, and the value of powered-up STEEM is currently at a value that had not been logged since June 7.
Here are the numbers as of a few minutes ago.

VESTED STEEM
After a streak of 51 consecutive new highs ended on July 7, we're currently back at a new high and on a 16 day streak.
Value of powered-up STEEM in terms of USD
This week, the value of powered-up STEEM broke $60,000,000 for the first time since June 9, and - at a bit under $63 million - the present value is the highest collected since June 7.
Value of powered-up STEEM in terms of tron (TRX)
After recovering from its June drops, the value of powered-up STEEM in terms of TRX is solidly back in the 800 million to 1 billion trading range where it seems so comfortable. It's looking like it might even try to break above a billion. We'll see...
Value of powered-up STEEM in terms of Steem Dollars
In terms of SBD, the value of powered-up STEEM had been hugging the 8 million line for about two months. The last couple days, however, it moved up towards 9 million. It may be worth observing that the total number of SBDs in circulation is only 8.3 million.
Value of powered-up STEEM as a percentage of Steem's market cap
Like I always say, this is my favorite graph. It broke above 1/3 of Steem's total market cap for the last 6 days. Let's see if it manages to hold the line in coming weeks. For context, I happened to notice the other day that the staking rate for Tron is 32.85%, so that's also around 1/3, just below the line.
Value of powered-up STEEM in terms of bitcoin (BTC)
Still drifting around 1,500 BTC with a modest gain, but mostly sideways motion in the last week.
Value of powered-up STEEM in terms of ethereum
Not much change in terms of ETH value powered up.
Value of powered-up STEEM in terms of litecoin
Solid gains this week for the value of powered-up STEEM in terms of LTC.

The crypto market is surely in for a bullish run. BTC crossed the $41K margin and is currently messing around the $40.5K-$41Kish area. Some ALT are yet to reflect the growth. We may hit an all-time high on SBD and STEEM before this year ends.
Yeah, seems like STEEM is riding on BTC's coat tails again. An all-time high for STEEM would be nice, or I'd even be happy if it can get back above $1 and hold it there.
If Steem is able to hit $1, then SBD would be selling probably at $14. Just like a few months ago. That would be a nice change of event.
I'm not sure what to make of SBDs holding their value around 10x or 15x the price of STEEM the way they have been. I keep expecting them to return to $1 in value, as designed. I've been wrong about that for a while, now, though.
I guess they forgot to peg it at $1 like USDT. haha
lol. Yeah, well they tried. That's why I keep expecting it to go back down, but the peg doesn't always hold.
This week the charts have looked more favorable for the steem blockchain.
Hopefully the numbers keep going up.
Agreed. It's nice to see STEEM performing well against other tokens, as well as USD.
At least the steem today surpassed the barrier of 0.500 cents after a good time being at 0.300 cents ..

In large part, the rebound that the BCT had was due to the news that Amazon could receive the currency as a means of payment, the enthusiasm of the news generated an increase of (11.6%). this can make SBD and STEEM come to life.
