Be Wise in Sharing Information

One of the things we do most often throughout the day is receive, read and disseminate information that we get from various sources. But most of course from social media like WhatsApp.
Rarely among us who try to check the source of information is valid or not. Fact or fake. Verified or hoaks. To be sure, if we think that information is important for others to know, we immediately rush to share it with the crowd through various media.
In fact, under certain conditions, this information does not make others alert or cautious, but instead becomes restless. Our unfiltered information made the situation in the community change from a safe, calm condition to a commotion and even cause a riot.
Therefore, we must be vigilant too. Do not easily spread information that is not yet certain. Even more related to the spread of Covid-19 virus which is currently really scary. So don't make this chaotic situation even more chaotic.
The case of the arrest of a housewife in Surabaya today must be a lesson for us all. A mother spreads information she received from the WhatsApp group, her child's school student guardian, to Facebook about a positive citizen infected with the Corona virus and is being treated at Soetomo Hospital.
Suddenly the information he shared became viral and scared the people there. The police then did a search and it turns out it was a hoaks. The patient mentioned that contracting Corona turned out to be a sufferer of lung disease. It has absolutely nothing to do with the Corona virus.
What happened was the mother was arrested by the police because she was considered to have spread false news. Even though he has not been arrested, he must still be responsible for what he has done so that it will affect many people.
Let's study more mature, wiser, wiser. Not all information we get is valid. So refrain from sharing right away. Check the truth. Be together. Be wise
