I used to think the same when I lived up north, at least we don't have dangerous big insects, spiders or snakes. But we did have mosquitoes and those very small pesky biting insects ... and wasps and some other meat-eating insects. Came to think, I'm less bothered by insects down here in the southern Norway after all.
