This is a great explanation @davemccoy, you hit on some highlights with still the best yet to come. The community is what you make of it, and you sir have made it quite a place in not even 6 months on here. I like the selling of the tangible and the non-tangible both in this post. Continue the great work and we can help add some more highlights to that reel!
I really wish steemit was more sold to the masses as something that this post demonstrates. It has many solid points from dreams come true (I can think of home ownership for many in low cost countries), and great examples of pillars of community that really help shape this place up for newcomers. It will be interesting to see what kind of world problems get solved over time with the power this place has.
What an awesome Welcome post! It’s great you highlighted both the community and blogging aspects of this platform. There are so many examples you gave on communities coming together from helping newbies with @newbieresteemday to another group of folks I enjoy hanging out with at @comedyopenmic, to all other big groups out there like @curie and @ocd.
I hope Asher doesn’t mind, but I gave my full upvote since the post is exceptionally written. 🙂
Congrats on your own entry, Dave!
The party's getting started - oh yeah :-)
Awesome that you featured @hickorymack's story here. This was probably one of the most hear-warming things that ever happened on steemit. And which proves that the hype is so real!
That was a very impressive post. I liked it a lot, the stories used to tell about steemit, and the professional look to the post with well used graphics and spacing, it looks really great.
This post brought a tear to my eye, and I think this kind of success story/heart connection is a compelling reason for people to join Steemit and stick around!
Great examples included here Dave, thank you!
I tried to do my best, I love the concept and definitely wanted to support this idea! And thank you Asher, for attempting to make a difference!
Love the post Dave! It's a great one @abh12345, although it's the first one I read haha
lol... thank you Lynn and I'm really glad you liked it! I think you and Brian are a story that showcase what is right with this world!
I do too! And if I hadn't waited until last minute and then gotten sick, I would have wrote the same thing :) I'm still in awe of it all Dave!
Hi read mine too :D Check mine if you have a time. thanks!

I like your focus on people whose lives were changed for the better. This is a real "draw people in" kind of post.
