nice group of photos @meanmommy33, you're lucky to have so much exposure to Paris as a child and all your life! Interesting you say it's depressing as a local, how so? I have found that New York can feel that way simply because the intensity wears one down and all of the hard surfaces tire a person's spirit after awhile.
Thank you!!! :) Yes, indeed, it was great and I think important on how I grew up. I get that for nyc as well (even though I haven't lived for a long period there) - it's the same. I think -besides the rain, when talking about Paris- maybe it's the big city effect. Same with Rome as well. And the irony is that I always considered myself a 'City girl' - but maybe not too big, that's the problem. Then, it becomes chaotic and you get 'lost' in it (and in its everyday depression) I guess...
Yes I understand and agree...the key to life is getting away often enough! It refreshed our perspective. I coudn't live in the country nor a big city all the time...change is essential for me.
I get you! Even though I tend to say that 'I like routine' and 'safety', I think the thing which is driving me crazy the most is actually standing still! Oxymoron, I know :D
