Visit to Shani Shingnapur

This is the place where the biggest Temple of Lord Shani (Saturn) is and there is very strong faith about this place. For me it is a yearly ritual to visit some of these places and pay my respects and what better time it can be then end of the year and near to beginning of the new year. It was a 2 days visit, where day 1 I was in Meherabad and day 2 was planned for Shani Shingnapur and then to Shirdi where there is again the main temple of Sai Baba.

I visited this time after around 15 months and I noticed that there have been some changes in the entrance area. It has been made bigger and better. I guess it was needed because on certain days there are many people visiting and the place gets packed so it needed better coordination. Now with the bigger space it will be better for people to visit in large numbers.

In the temple there is a area where there is a placement of all the 9 planets deities.

Last 2 days I have been on this journey feeling tired and at the same time feeling very satisfied and blissful with all of these experiences. I am born on a Saturday and Lord Shani rules this day hence I like to pay respects to him whenever it is possible for me.
