Mountain drive
This weekend we planned to drive up to the Mountains. It had been a long time that we had done this Mountain drive, so I was very keen on doing it. Also from yesterday 1 month Ramadan fasting has started so now during day time all the restaurants will be shut. We planned to do this on Friday, an overnight stay on the mountains. I enjoy these kind of mini outings, which are completely cut off from all life. Me and hubby both enjoy this kind of time with ourselves. He too enjoys these kind of adventures. Here the roads are too good to go on long drives, you just keep driving at a good speed enjoying the rustic views of the mountains and valleys around.
We took the path where not many people travel, so all along the drive we barely saw any other cars. Again this is good and risky also. Because if something happens on the road then it would take a long time to get help.
Initially I was not fond of these mountains, as I was used to seeing so greenery around, but then over the years they have grown on me and now I am really fond of them.
All around I can see these hills and mountains and the road cuts through them.
Driving on these roads during night time is a risk, as some of them do not have street lights, so it's always better to drive during the day light hours.
As we drive through we pass many small villages and settlements. Life in some of these areas go 3 to 4 decades back.
It was an adventurous journey. I will share more of this journey in my next blog.
