Steemians, Craft Beer, Funky Vibes and Yet Another Film Shoot
Met up with a couple of my Steemiam mates for yet another TV shoot tonight. We went to a great little bar called Khoai in Binh Thanh District. It’s a funky little place with amazing craft beers at cheap prices and a funky vibe. The owner has spent a lot of time in the Budapest and that Eastern European vibe has rubbed off. The TV crew just wanted us to sit and drink beers as they filmed us. It’s a tough job at times, but hey, we’re professionals.

This shoot was mainly based around @Jakehorn87 and his interaction with locals. His girlfriend @Phanthiphan was there and I was brought in as an extra. This is 9 TV shoots for InSeAsia in 2017, Vietnam seems to like us. It was a quick shoot and soon we just settled down to enjoy a few quiet beers. The pub soon started filling up with its mainly Vietnamese, young clientele.
The music was pretty poor early in the evening but then the owner came in and things improved. It was the usual crappy house music so popular with the locals here early on. When the boss is here, it’s often reggae which, even though I am not a fan, perfectly suits the feel of the bar.
I have been developing the InSeAsia website for three years. It genuinely is a labour of love. I have lived in Southeast Asia for 9 years and have no plans to ever leave.
