RE: 100 DAYS OF STEEM : Day 75 - The STEEM POD Project - the Next Phase

I was also expecting a little bit more from a marketing perspective. The team itself is doing a fantastic job and has proven that it can mobilize a community. They can also only work with the resources that are provided to them.

The community likes to help with marketing, bring people to Steem, make the platform bigger. But the bottom line is that if we have to do the outwards marketing ourselves, we need a budget for that. Social media marketing (what we need) costs either a ton of money, or a ton of people sharing the same stuff over and over again.

Contests on Steemit, every one of them, needs to be able to receive funding, and I have seen the DAO as a solution for that since I learned how to Steem. With bigger budgets, bigger prizes, and more people that know about the stuff that is going on, the more chance big investors will know about Steem. Or developers that are attracted to it.

The community can take over the role of @Steemitblog what they did with the 100days of Steem. Steemit just has to decide which projects they believe are the most promising. All forms of art is definitely one of them and I obviously like Music For Steem as this kind of contest can get global recognition. (I am related, biased, and would likely think the same if I wasn't)

And like it has always done in the past, delegate a certain, sizeable amount to the team instead so they can grow their interest and stake in Steem. Giving upvotes are nice, but still completely dependent if you get noticed. A community delegation instead of curation accounts would do the trick. Without a single doubt.

Thank you and like your thoughtful comment, the inner structure is working well at the moment but that will not bring new people from outside. From my own experience when I tell to other people who I know their answer is only that they do not have time because new person who knows little about it needs to see a benefit for the person to join, especially starting from almost zero Steem Power it is a long way. Appreciate your opinion :)

You are absolutely welcome. It is up to us to come with stuff that makes it stupid simple. If you need a tutorial of 50.000 words, it's not easy. The price of Steem will be playing a role in this too. The sooner it starts to rise, the higher chance it attracts new users and investors who FOMO. It will make our jobs a lot easier to make people realize the possibilities and benefits.

If community leaders get a certain delegation, we can take care of genuine promising users within our community. We are happy to delegate f.e. 50SP to every new account until they have enough to leave the nest. And we would have a vote that is enough to help them on their journey on Steemit. These users may be attracting new ones and will likely support them too because they felt how it was to get attention.

The greeters will have to find a way to get to know the new users their interests and passion. Guide them in the right direction, and to communities where they feel home and are able to express themselves. Where support and likeminded people are waiting!

Thanks, I do yours too! :)
