RE: 100 DAYS OF STEEM : Day 75 - The STEEM POD Project - the Next Phase

in #the100daysofsteem4 years ago (edited)

Dear Steemit Team,

Once again you opened a door for the suggestions and once again I am adding my bit, do not know if that will be heard or implemented, but who cares just needed to tell it loudly.

You always ask us, Steemians what we could suggest to onboard people but there are many things that logically thinking person would conclude himself.

First, Steem is known to handful people only, despite of having 1,392,833 Accounts there are much less active ones. That means many are observing at the moment due to low Prize of Steem many see no reason to spend their time for creating posts if at the end they would not get rewards that they expect for the time and work that they spent for that.

If you remember the time when one Steem was appr. 8 USD the number of posts were shouting up, posts were coming every few seconds.

That is why the most important thing for Steem prize to go up.

How to reach it?

We all know without advertisement it will not go, that means Marketing: Cryptonews with advertisement with logo of Steem on side bar or so , Television, News channels or newspaper.

There are many cases we could bring out like:

@cryptopie, the Steemian who is financing his treatment and Dialysis with daily posting and he is silently supported be @canadian-coconut, @xpilar, @slowwalker with his accounts
The user is extremely active and supportive and he receives support back that helps him to survive in his country. Is that not the case that we could advertise for Steem as Cryptocurrency of Hope and for those silent Supporters?

Next one who I am aware of is @elkezaksek who together with her husband created Charity to support people in Uganda.

Here is her call post:
https://steemit.com/justinsun/@elkezaksek/hello-mr-justin-sun-justinsunsteemit-please-help

key.JPG

She is fundraiser and in her posts she shows what the real people receive, that is silently supported by @double-u, German Steem Bootcamps and many German users , @chriddi, @vienna and many more simple users

And there are many more examples...

Create proper Marketing department and the staff should be appropriately paid for their work.

As a person who according all the news bought Steemit Inc Justin Sun should mention Steem in his tweets, update people what is going on and what is planed (of course if there is any plan) more often especially because he is a prominent person when such news will come from him that will make a good marketing and that may drive Steem up and not the little users on Steemit platform

As to the delegation to the active engaged people even having 3000 SP delegation when they upvote people they give only 0,05$ with 100% of upvote power so that is too little and not visible.

Thank you very much for this post!

Thank you @stef1 you are also one of the friends that I have that understands my medical situation and supports me in many ways like our other friends in the background. I just wish you all the success in your ventures online and offline. Nothing I want to say but that you ALL for all your kind support :)
May God bless you all always.

I was also expecting a little bit more from a marketing perspective. The team itself is doing a fantastic job and has proven that it can mobilize a community. They can also only work with the resources that are provided to them.

The community likes to help with marketing, bring people to Steem, make the platform bigger. But the bottom line is that if we have to do the outwards marketing ourselves, we need a budget for that. Social media marketing (what we need) costs either a ton of money, or a ton of people sharing the same stuff over and over again.

Contests on Steemit, every one of them, needs to be able to receive funding, and I have seen the DAO as a solution for that since I learned how to Steem. With bigger budgets, bigger prizes, and more people that know about the stuff that is going on, the more chance big investors will know about Steem. Or developers that are attracted to it.

The community can take over the role of @Steemitblog what they did with the 100days of Steem. Steemit just has to decide which projects they believe are the most promising. All forms of art is definitely one of them and I obviously like Music For Steem as this kind of contest can get global recognition. (I am related, biased, and would likely think the same if I wasn't)

And like it has always done in the past, delegate a certain, sizeable amount to the team instead so they can grow their interest and stake in Steem. Giving upvotes are nice, but still completely dependent if you get noticed. A community delegation instead of curation accounts would do the trick. Without a single doubt.

Thank you and like your thoughtful comment, the inner structure is working well at the moment but that will not bring new people from outside. From my own experience when I tell to other people who I know their answer is only that they do not have time because new person who knows little about it needs to see a benefit for the person to join, especially starting from almost zero Steem Power it is a long way. Appreciate your opinion :)

You are absolutely welcome. It is up to us to come with stuff that makes it stupid simple. If you need a tutorial of 50.000 words, it's not easy. The price of Steem will be playing a role in this too. The sooner it starts to rise, the higher chance it attracts new users and investors who FOMO. It will make our jobs a lot easier to make people realize the possibilities and benefits.

If community leaders get a certain delegation, we can take care of genuine promising users within our community. We are happy to delegate f.e. 50SP to every new account until they have enough to leave the nest. And we would have a vote that is enough to help them on their journey on Steemit. These users may be attracting new ones and will likely support them too because they felt how it was to get attention.

The greeters will have to find a way to get to know the new users their interests and passion. Guide them in the right direction, and to communities where they feel home and are able to express themselves. Where support and likeminded people are waiting!

Thanks, I do yours too! :)
