Writers and artists have been worried about AI, now it's the musicians' turn.

Yesterday, Google made public its music generation AI, MusicLM. It's not available for use, but they've made its progress public, and it's incredible.

You type out what you want, and it generates music based on your prompt. It can produce vocals, though they're unintelligible. The craziest one is the Story Mode, which is essentially like film scoring. Tell it what style of music or what's happening in a scene, specify the seconds it takes place, then boom.

I think this is incredible and can't wait to see it get better and better.
