I know right?! The other night when @veenang, the guy who made it all possible approached me to have a slot for #teammalaysia's Teh Tarik Sundays which is a talkshow where authors are given 2 minutes to promote their post of interest, he told me that he had a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT.

Im announcing accept steem and sbd for Hotel Booking in Malaysia...

Those were his literal words that got me on my feet. I was so excited to hear this news first hand from the man himself and I immediately told my partner, @branlee87 who hosts Teh Tarik Sundays together with me. We both ended up dreaming about future possibilities and how we would do a #dlive video in a suite of one of the hotels we booked. We even plan to #dlive a friend of ours in slo-mo coming out of one of the hotel's grand swimming pool and we would end the video with....

Heyyy..... we paid with steem yo....

The adaptation of STEEM around the world in businesses/services/payment systems is definitely the future of where STEEMIT is heading. Why do I say this? This is because Steemit is a social platform and it has a community of hundred thousands of millions of people around the world.

We also have a #teammalaysia member @danielwong who runs a burger joint and has allowed customers to use STEEM/SBD to pay for their meals as well. And let me tell you, it is the most surreal experience ever when you just have to take out your mobile phone and transfer the STEEM/SBD to him. Cashless society.

@veenang runs a travel tour operations in Sabah, Malaysia. About two months ago during MATTA Fair, he announced that his services will be adopting STEEM/SBD for tour packages if you're travelling to Sabah. This was his first venture of adopting STEEM/SBD. And just about two months after, he announced that in collaboration with www.hotels.com, he is able to offer pay with STEEM/SBD services to ALL HOTELS under hotels.com.

Currently the booking is only open to hotels in Malaysia, but it is an amazing start!

How do I book a hotel?

1. Go to www.hotels.com.
2. Under Hotel search, choose your preferred Hotel and Room Category.
3. Understand the Terms & Conditions / Company Policy (Especially the Refunding / Cancelling Policies.)
4. Key in your booking details until you reach the checkout page.
5. Screenshot the detail page.
6. E-mail to me at [email protected] or [email protected]. Can also DM him in Discord : veenang#2913.
7. You shall then agree with @veenang on how much Steem or SBD to pay based on the current market value.
8. Once agreed, we shall proceed to make your bookings based on the information provided by you.
9. Upon confirmation, we will email you back the Confirmation Letter by Hotels.com (Immediate Confirmation)
10. Complete!
