PART 1: China's One Belt One Road Initiative: Any Significance for the East ASEAN Growth Area?
The Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia. Philippines - East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) in association with the ASEAN China Centre (ACC) is organizing a Trade and Investment Seminar and Business Matching in Nanning from today until 15 September 2017.
This event is in conjunction with the CAEXPO (China Asean Expo) and CABIS (China Asean Business and Investment Summit).
The event is organised under the BIMP EAGA Small and Medium Development Working Group.
Malaysia will be the coordinating the Malaysian Delegation participation for this event.
In this regard, the BIMP-EAGA Business Council (BEBC) lead by its Regional Chairman; Datuk Roselan Johar Mohamed would be present throughout the event.
One of the main issues on the agenda would be a dialog between China representatives and the delegation from BEBC . During this dialog there will be two important matters that I'm happy to say were ideas that I brought up because I felt that they were important for the development of this region.
China is now working hand in hand on the development of B&R Initiatives with countries along the Belt and Road (B&R), including many ASEAN countries. What would you think are the new opportunities for BIMP-EAGA ?
