Tutorial: Steepshot Bot For Telegram

This is good news for both steepshot and telegram users! I’d just found out that Steepshot had released a Telegram bot called SteepshotBot!

It’s aim is to provide you with a way to post pictures to Steepshot through your messenger and earn rewards even if you don’t want to download a separate mobile app or use web client for it.

What is so good about this bot is that you can actually post/publish your photo directly from Telegram! Isn’t that cool? I tried to experiment it earlier and tell you the truth, it was confusing at first. But after posting one photo (a try out), I think I’ll get the hang of it.

HOW DO YOU USE STEEPSHOTBOT?

This is how I do it. Since I’m using Telegram Web, it is much easier for me to set my Steepshotbot.

First, you need to click this link. Then, click the “Open In Web” and it will automatically bring you to Telegram.

Next, click ‘Start” and you will receive a message from the bot like this.

Please note that you will be giving options by the bot and all you have to do is just follow the bot’s instruction.

Once you’ve entered your Steemit username, the bot will ask you to enter your private posting key. My posting key will not appear in the picture below as I have deleted it for security purposes. 😊

Now it is time to post my photo. Click send media/photos (a camera icon) and it will direct to your gallery. Choose a photo that you want to post and press “send”.

The bot will send you a message like this,

Once you’ve done typing your title and the tags, press “enter’ and voila! You have just published your photo using the Steepshotbot!

For my first photo I accidentally click the 'back' button and my photo has been published with a title "Back" 😂. I'd also missed the hashtags. What I did is that I went to Steemit and edit my post from there.

You also can view what is in your feed, what hot, new and top posts.

Bear in mind that only 5 posts will be shown in each category.

On top of that, you can leave comment and upvotes ❤ directly from the Telegram.

Remember this, to publish you only need to send an image and then write the title followed by the tags with the # symbol
