Reward.....
Good morning my friends.....
It’s been a long last nine days for me.
Let me explain.....
Two Saturdays ago I got a call from a very good friend in a jamb. He is a general contractor who does additions, new construction and renovations. We’ve both been in business for over 25 years now and have worked together on dozens of jobs.
Well his number one guy blew out his knee while doing a tuff mudder run that day and was having surgery to repair it.
So he called me for a favor. He had a deadline of October 15th to complete a job that required several doors to be hung and tons of molding as well. He was stuck on a job in Connecticut and couldn’t leave and needed someone that was a finish carpenter.
I am already barely making my own deadlines, but agreed to help him out anyway. I ended up working on the job for him eight hours each day then going back to my shop to work on my own jobs.
Things got a little tricky over the weekend when I had a two day install of my own that had to get done. So the last two days have been a total blur, working crazy hours to get the job done for him.
Monday night while I was finishing up the final touches on the job, my buddy showed up. First to check out the job, second to pay me.
But he didn’t come empty handed either. He had a six pack in one hand and a pizza in the other.
Well now that I’ve bored you to death with my story, I’ll get to the post.
The six pack was from a brewery named Dogfish Head. It was a seasonal pumpkin dark ale.
Here’s a pic....
I’m not typically a flavored beer or ale guy, but this was really interesting and had a great finish to it. It surprisingly went really well with the pizza. Well maybe I was just starving....
Here’s some info on Dogfish Head. They are a hand crafted brewery that is out of Delaware. They’ve been around since 1995 and are known for there seasonal hand crafted brews. I don’t know how far their product is distributed but if you happen to see it, I recommend giving it a try.
I am doing the skirting of my new kitchen and the whole sitting room as well but I can take my time! Take a brake in time!

The beer sounds interesting, I would have loved to see it poured into the glass, to see the color and head!!
Nice story!!
Was on a job site. So that wasn’t possible. It was very dark though.
WOW... what a great friend you are to your friends!!!! I am glad we are friends, bestie! I enjoyed reading your articles... I've been away for a while! I hope to be back posting on steemit! Later, @silverd510
Be been wondering where you’ve been, just haven’t had time to much of anything lately. Hope all is well with you bestie.🌹
That beer looked yummy 7 percent alcohol too!
I was surprisingly very good. Did get a buzz from 4 of them.
I seriously wonder when you ever sleep! That beer looks impressive but at 7% you wouldn't want too many in go. I hope you are going to have a calmer weekend.

I seriously don’t sleep very much at all. It’s almost impossible for my brain to shut off in order to sleep. The ale was surprisingly very tasty, and yes after 4 of them I got a good buzz. Might have also been the fact I worked 15 straight hours without eating. Hope all is well in coffeeland, maybe soon I’ll be able to be more active again on discord as well. Thanks for stopping by my friend, much appreciated.
Dogfishhead makes one of my favorite beers of all time 60 Minute IPA. It's hard to get outside of New England but it is great.
