Money had value back then. Put yourself in those days when there was penny candy and a day's wage was $2.30. Henry Ford created the Five Dollar Day for those lucky to get that job. This ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR bill was about a YEARs Wage at a good job. . . They printed MILLIONS of these.
