At my recent Coin Shop Visit, I picked up a Silver version of the 1928 ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR BILL, featuring Grover Cleveland.
This One Thousand Dollar bill in Silver is SIX Troy Ounces of Silver. KA-POW ! ! or ONE HALF TROY KA-POUND ! !
That's SIX TROY OUNCES of Silver, remember last week, that's ONE HALF TROY POUND ! !

1928 ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR BILL
In 1928, the United States switched over to current modern size bills. Included in the new bills was the One Thousand Dollar Bill. The bill featured Grover Cleveland, who was the 22nd and the 24th President of the United States. These bills were printed in the MILLIONS. Imagine that, MILLIONS of ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR bills.
These bills were printed until 1945, when the United States stopped printing any bills larger than the One Hundred Dollar bill.
OBVERSE: ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR BILL IN SILVER
On the obverse, we see a portrait of Grover Cleveland.
REVERSE: ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR BILL IN SILVER
On the reverse, we see a rather plain bill with a BOLD "ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS"

I am glad to hear that because I couldn't find it online to validate to myself that it was real. I guess if it's good enough for Pit, it's good enough for me. It must be real.
Sweet bills, Love those green backs. That's when money had some value.
Money had value back then. Put yourself in those days when there was penny candy and a day's wage was $2.30. Henry Ford created the Five Dollar Day for those lucky to get that job. This ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR bill was about a YEARs Wage at a good job. . . They printed MILLIONS of these.

The silver is real money, the bill is reflecting on the past. the silver bill is the combination.
The culture of the USA is very interesting. It really is intriguing how they wanted to add that kind of money, imagine how it would be lost or you need change, it would be impossible hahaha. I really like the details included in the money, although the dollar does not have the design with more color, it is still very interesting. Excellent post, greetings.
