That is a nice piece. I agree with @dfinney; why bid early and drive it up? I think that either the early birds are friends of the person selling the item, or more likely, just new to the whole thing and don't realize the end result. This could be a nail biting finish for sure!😜
Very possible. I do know some people who bid early in an effort to make the seller stick out the auction and not sell it to someone attempting to buy privatly. All part of the plan for some people..
