COMPANY HISTORY

The First Villa Cristina Hotel & Resort, Inc. is a family corporation composed of the Mariñas family headed by its patriarch, Felix B. Mariñas which is based in Antipolo City. It was named after the family matriarch, Cristina Retonda De Jesus. As ascribed by its name, the corporation’s principal business is Resort and Hotel operation. The place, which is now a common byword in the City of Antipolo, started only as a resting place for the family especially during weekends considering its location at the top of the mountain, then called “paltok”. It lies between the Historical Hinulugang Taktak Falls and Antipolo Hotel. It has a breathtaking view of the entire metropolis reaching as far as Bataan and beyond Laguna De Bay bringing a feeling of endlessness. With a cold breeze and fresh air, the place is a perfect haven for relaxation. It is truly a resort in the sky. Initially, the family owns 5,000 square meters of the land as of 1968 where Mr. Mariñas built a small pool for use of friends and family but as the years go by, he was able to purchase the adjacent lots comprising of about 15 contiguous lots. Now, the entire complex lies in 2.5 hectares of land.

With pools of different depths, lengths and design, the exterior is tremendously favored by guests. Kids will surely enjoy the 3ft puddle which is all covered to give them shade and protection from the harmful rays of the sun. Splashes and showers were also installed for increased entertainment and pleasure. The entirety of the pool is fully-covered with a smooth surface to prevent any injuries or damage. The wide area of the pool will not restrict any movements of swimmers, so as not to make painful body-contacts with other swimmers. The slide is another attraction which heightens the excitement and drives your adrenaline rush.

And for every establishment or institution, there is a set of protocols to keep and follow. The rules and regulations of the resort ensures everyone's safety and imparts discipline to guests. Swimming in the pool requires swimming attire. It is strictly implemented to wear swimsuits or rashguards but allowed white cotton sando and shorts for the ladies, and trunks or cotton shorts for men. Before using any pool, you are obliged to shower first and to use soap during shower. Children are not permitted to go to any pool if not accompanied by an adult. To avoid any injuries, strictly no diving. Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not allowed to use the pool. Using and bringing of glass in any forms is prohibited near the pool area. Eating, drinking, smoking or soaping should be done in proper designated places, not in the pool area. No pushing, pulling or any act of rough playing beside the pool. And hard liquor, videoke, electrical appliances and LPGs (liquefied petroleum gas) are not approved to be brought inside.

Cristina Villas Resort also provides lodging for customers who wanted an overnight stay or for those who wanted to rent private rooms during the day. If you want to feel comfy, relaxed and secured, there are 5 different types of rooms to choose from. The Standard room (with regular capacity of 2persons and maximum capacity of 4persons), the Couples room (2reg 3max), the Family room (2reg 5max), the Suite room (2reg 5max), and the Standard Deluxe room (2reg 4max) with rates ranging from 3500pesos to 5000pesos. Regular rate is inclusive of complimentary breakfast (which is served from 7am to 10am) for 2persons, and in excess will be charged an amount of 600pesos per person. Rooms are fully air-conditioned, with cable-tv installation and cabinet drawers for storage. Note that children below 12yrs of age will be free of room admission but not inclusive of the free breakfast. Maximum number of persons staying in a room will be strictly implemented. And check-in time is available at 2 o'clock in the afternoon and check-out would be until 12noon of the following day.

Other amenities include the Gym where fitness club members hang around. The Spa, for clients seeking for rejuvenation and relaxation. KTV rooms are available for those who would like to spend their time singing or drinking during happy hours. And the Cafe Cristina to satisfy your hunger. For recreation and sports, it also has zipline, wall climbing and a standard-sized basketball court.

Events like wedding, birthday parties, meetings and seminars, photoshoots and pre-nuptials were also catered at the resort. Function rooms may be used depending on the capacity of guests.
