Let's Celebrate
Thanks to the drop in the price of Steem, I treated myself to some extra Steem. Rather by coincidence, I brought my account pretty close to dolphinhood.
To celebrate this unforseen event, I thought I'd hold a little Giveaway.
And what is a better giveaway item these days than a collection of SteemMonsters Booster packs. SteemMonsters are getting hotter each day, and new people are getting involved as we speak.

Winners will be announced 7 days from now, after this post has reached payout.
To decide who wins one of the prizes, all names of the people who posted a valid entry will be entered in a random name picker. Faith will decide who goes home with a SteemMonsters Booster pack or a single card - and who will have to wait until the next time to expand his card collection.
I think you agree this must be the easiest giveaway ever, so there is not a single reason why you shouldn't take your chance.

Awesome idea. I am in the process of taking advantage of the low Steem price myself. I am hoping I can get to 500SP with a little transaction here or there. I haven't been able to purchase a lot of booster packs because I have been putting all of my SBD and STEEM into powering up. That's my pitch I guess. I nominate @daan and @slobberchops for packs as well. Either way, this is a great thing you are doing helping others out and I am super excited to see what the future holds for Steem Monsters.
In my humble opinion, I think that investing your money in your account is way smarter than investing it in digital cards for a game that doesn't even exist yet, lol. Definitely when the 500sp milestone is within reach.
Personally, I'm going back and forth when it comes to SM. At times, I really suffer from FOMO, and then I head to the website to buy a couple of decks. But most of the time I already feel bad for spending that money by the time I'm opening my second deck. I assume that will change once the tournaments have started. I have never played a game like that before, so as long as we are still waiting, I don't have a clue how the game will be played, nor if I will like it.
But what I do know is that most people like a good giveway, and for that reason, the cards are pricesless, lol

Thank you! Yeah I haven't spent a ton on it like some people because i am building my account like I said. Having played games similar to how I think this is going to work, my biggest fear is that tournament winners will be based on how much a person. Has spent. I hope that isn't the case, but if it is, it may just fall into the bin with the other pay to win games out there.
Hi @bozz I am in the exact same boat. My plan is to win as many as possible then see where I am at when games begin. I figure if I don't have enough I can put what I have on the market. They may be worth something by then. Hopefully a tidy little power up will result. Good luck with the contest.

I like these kind of contest, where people are invited to, well say just about anything. I mean I could have done another phobia type thing or something else just as silly. Just think, there may be people that read my comment that have never heard of the movie "Sound Of music", (which i do not really like), but it still a good thing to watch. (Too many happy moments in glorification of well not good stuff). But all's well that ends well. M ybe next time I will h ve problem with my one of my keybo rd keys not working s it should. Who knows, fun is fun.
Whether or not I deserve to win is highly subjective, but at the very least I'd like to win.

Think about that for a minute. You want your post containing the list of winners to look impressive, right? The best way to ensure that is to add @trisquelwhare to the list. Just make sure you spell it correctly, otherwise the magic doesn't work.

I should be a chosen one, because I liked Steem Monsters before it was cool, and even then it was already cool.
I did not have enough SBD to buy a pack when they first came out, so I joined the map drawing and writing contests and now I am part of the game. Most of my cards come from contests, and tonight my son came to me and said "can we open some monster cards?" But alas, I had no unopened packs left.....
I nominate @omitaylor cause I miss her and hope she is doing alright, and @staceyjean who was also one of the first people I met in the Steem Monsters writing room.

I just bought 5 more packs. I have 4 gold foils = 1 epic, 2 rare, 1 common. I also got a couple of regular cards 1 is legendary, 6 epics, 15 rare, and a boat full of commons. i got a line on a couple of regular dragons also for the cheap kinda.
