RE: Steem Monsters Gameplay Changes and Return of Season Rewards!!!
I think you're right about that... i think people will be playing a wider array of cards and proud of their ranking as it will reflect more skill.
Btw since my comment got some u[votes and there will be lot of people scrolling - I have a question Ican't find out answer for. And even the suupermotivated players from my friends list here don't know :D
What happens after the beta packs are all given away or are sold out? Will Gama packs arrive? I mean..what will eventually be an incentive to play Steemmonsters? Just a fun of the game? Or maybe tournaments of giving cards into the pot and winner takes it all?
Cuz so far, people play to get free packs. You can clearly see it how easy is to go up the rankings this season when no giveaway was promised. I barely reached 1700 last season and now Im 3300 with 10 straight wins. People just stopped playing once the rewards are not there
I have been wondering the same. I believe that our cards will be able to level up through experience points earned in play. That I assume would make the value of the cards go up.
I think people will play the tournaments for the $ prizes.
Peally that is just speculation. I wanted to drop a comment so I remember to check back in case you receive some answers.
Yepp I've thought that as well. I actually think I've read it somewhere in some official text. Not sure tho. Well, let's see. The gameplay ismuch more enjoyable than I thought + from tomorrow its gonna be even better (by miles)...but TBH I still probably won't play daily if there won't be the giveaway packs. Let's see if we get an answer :)
Next edition comes out which will be able to continue to fund rewards etc......is what I would think happens.
So there's basically endless supply of new cards forever? Just to make players play? That would deffinitely lower the price of current cards in existence tho.
@investingpennies, @gank
Just like Magic the Gathering did in real life. The cards from earlier editions will end up being worth more then the same card in a newer edition etc.
It is not to make players play, it is to meet the demand for cards to play with for new players entering the arena.
undoubtedly.
