Your assumptions are correct, every 30,000 Steem blocks, the the reward pool (fees made from the sales) are distributed to the token holders based on their stake.

The market doesn't support batch purchasing but I can try to implement it! (I'm in the work of implementing the Steem Chain extension as well)
