Thanks for this @harpagon. So, let me get this straight. The SMMKT tokens essentially determine my share of the reward pool gathered from all sales made on your Steem Monster Market. Does that sound like I have understood it correctly?
Also, is there any way yet to purchase multiple cards within a single SteemConnect transaction? That would be a handy feature. I have tried holding CTL or SHIFT, but neither of them seem to allow me to make multiple selections at present.

Your assumptions are correct, every 30,000 Steem blocks, the the reward pool (fees made from the sales) are distributed to the token holders based on their stake.
The market doesn't support batch purchasing but I can try to implement it! (I'm in the work of implementing the Steem Chain extension as well)
