Steemit Sandwich Contest Week 3! Egg 'n' Chips sandwich with spices and salad
Heya! This is the sandwich in its' final form, the steps on how to make it are further on with pictures :)
The ingredients I've used are as follows:
-> Baguette
-> Chips
-> Tomatoes
-> Cucumbers
-> Yellow cheese
-> Tzatziki
-> Liutenitsa (Home made from tomatoes, red pepers, eggplant, garlic and chillies)
-> Chillies and ginger
-> Fried eggs
-> Mayo
-> Salt and savoury and black pepper
-> A glass of beer for the cook :)
I also intended to put home made pesto in, but while making the pesto, I realised I had no garlic left, so that's for the next day haha
So let's begin!
At first we chop the chips and we put them in the already hot frying pan
Then we prepare the homegrown veggies by peeling the cucumbers, cutting them up along with half the tomato (this is for 3 portions) and we also mince the chillies and ginger (usually I would put garlic as well, but I was out of :D ). We've also prepared the yellow cheese.
By then, the chips are ready to get off and cool down a bit in a bowl with a lid.
I personally don't like getting them too fried, just a bit :)
After the chips are done, we toss a few eggs (depending on the portions and size of eggs). I tossed 3 small eggs for 3 portions, because 1 of my flatmates doesn't really like eggs, so those 3 are just as good for 2 portions.
In the meantime we also put a baguette in the sandwich maker. Mine looks like this, but with baguettes inside :D
And so that was the preparing process of those magnificent sandwiches :)
One of my flatmates said she had an orgasm while eating it, the other couldn't really talk, because she was eating :D And in the end, the plates were, as I love them, empty :)

What is Liutenitsa btw, the combination of those ingredients or can it be made in different ways?

You still have until Monday to submit as many entries as your heart desires. I hope you will consider doing so as you clearly have some interesting ideas and would add value to the contest with a valid entry!

Hi :) Sorry, I thought I commented, but there are many things on my mind right now..
Can I add a sign with paint? :D I'm very bad with photoshop and such.. I will edit it right away though :)
And Liutenitsa is sort of a dish we make in Bulgaria , I will make a post for that next week when we make some more :)

So the rules state that you're supposed to have a little sign in one of the pictures of your sandwich (bc that's how you verify that you indeed made the sandwich for that week's contest and it's not something you documented prior or is someone else work etc.)
It'll still be featured as an entry in the competition however it will be considered a null entry. We had a couple in week 1 that were really great but were not eligible to win because they didn't read/follow the rules.
Those participants either submitted another entry or waited until the following week if there wasn't time.
We need to follow the contest rules that have been set out for everyone in order to keep it fair.
You can submit as many entries as you want. In fact, I encourage it. I think your best bet is to create one with a verification sign in one of the photos and you'll have a shot at a prize!
