Provence is most famous for its picturesque lavender fields. It's not just the visually stunning vibrant purple that catches your attention though - the scent of lavender that wafts in the breeze makes contact with you first. I didn't manage to visit the actual fields, but a sizable lot of it was recreated in Marseille (:
