FOR Once In YOUR LIFE be ORIGINAL
Some would say it has all been done before ... so why bother doing it at all?
Well the short answer is it hasn't been done by me yet and I am here for the journey not just the steem. Don't get me wrong I would love to be a mighty whale swimming around with millions tucked away for a rainy day but I just don't have that kind of money to invest. Barring a windfall or some distant relative giving me a favourable tap in their will, I guess all that I can do is believe in the platform and try with everything I have to give. I will post and post and then post some more until I run out of things to post about, make it or I am dead. Eventually I will get good enough, eventually I will become interesting enough to make it. Regardless of how much Steem ends up in my wallet, from my own investment or that of others, I will be making my mark. I will be a member of a platform that if it grows and matures into half of what it intends to be it will be a place I'm proud to be a part of. I wasn't the first through the gate but I will be a contributing member that makes a difference. Steemit is different and we owe it to ourselves, the community and the platform itself to be different too. We owe steemit our best original content not what we steal or "creatively borrow" from others.

I could stop trying to be creative and just post random pics or regurgitate the work of others. If I really wanted to make a quick buck I could just spam the feed every hour of the day with NSFW content that I downloaded from pornsites (stating vaguely that the content wasn't mine and came from somewhere on the web. Eventually that sort of stuff will be ended as I am sure it puts the entire platform at legal risk and isn't what steemit is about. Now I am not a prude by any means, if you want to post pics of yourself alone or with others go for it (please do, the world needs more natural beauty and love) but I think making money off of others work is wrong period (and not giving them credit is worse). You won't be seeing me taking it all off though ... because trust me in this air brushed world no one wants to see that. I'm just too real for mass consumption (at least that is what I will tell myself) but if you have the courage and want to make money off well your money maker then send me a link and I will upvote you.
I think we are all good at something and I am so glad that we are all good at different things. I don't have the first clue for instance as to what most of the crypto finance stuff I read is all about but I read the posts and comments in the hope that eventually I will. I marvel at the photographic talents, writing abilities and original insights I read everyday on steemit. We are in the presence of some really unique and talented people. Let's reward them for it.
