I agree. The 7 day rule discourages people from giving a shit about older posts. The curation rules even discourage a lot of people from giving a shit about posts older than 30 minutes. I reckon the logic (from the developer's side) is that it encourages people to crank out more content, but the unintended consequence is that it encourages more shit content.
