It is of course a good proposal !As it seems with this seven days ,many are draining the reward pool vastly what would happen if the period increases to 30 days !
However yes there are posts that holds many more informations and helpful content not getting the proper attention ! I do really like your idea but as it seems everything has good & bad option on its plate!
I don't really think it makes any difference on the draining of the rewards pool. In the long run - I think it makes the network better/stronger as it encourages even more so the creation of quality content...because the voting window doesn't expiry. With this type of regard to content creation it's about sharing thing's that are simply to share...and it gives everyone a chance to see it and it's not soo much about getting as many views in 7 days as possible.
I think it would be cool to have a hybrid model of sorts with the voting...where a post is paid out like it is now after 7 days - and then it's just like once a month or something like that....like a passive royalty.
Sure worth a try ,hope it gets established and we get to see the good results ;)
