It's Spring in Joburg, and I'm back!
Dearest Steemians,
I'm so sorry for having been gone so long. For those of you who know, I was "taken out" of keyboarding and mousing earlier this year by a persistent and pernicious tennis elbow, which we affectionately dubbed "L Bow" (like a rapper violinist, kind of...not really). Well, L Bow seems to have left me for greener pastures, so it's Spring in Joburg, and I'M BACK!!
Thought I'd share with you how incredibly beautiful Spring is in this city. It's a time of clear blue skies, of dust washed away by short, intense thunderstorms, of heady smells of thousands of flowers competing to attract the birds and the bees - and the birds doing their best at the birds and the bees, if you get my drift. The sun rises earlier each day, the hadedas wake me up with their raucous chats earlier each day, the temperature has shot up from single digits (Celsius) to late 20s/early 30s in the last couple of weeks, and people are just nicer to each other...yes, even in Joburg.
I chose to share this picture of a thorn tree just outside our house because the contrast against the deep blue September sky was so artistically perfect. The sharp-eyed among you will see at least one weaver bird nest. Male weaver birds spend hours constructing these then displaying to potential mates, who may or may not approve of the construction efforts. If the female doesn't approve, she doesn't just sniff over her shoulder and fly off...no, she destroys the nest and he has to start over.
So Spring here is beautiful, flowery, perfumed...and fraught for males looking to attract the perfect mate.
It looks like a female weaver bird has done a number on Steemit! HF20 seems to have made a lot of Steemians cranky. However, I'll be back for the long haul, regardless of the short term challenges, and any reappearances of the evil rapper L Bow.
I'm happy to be back on Steemit and starting this new beginning.

@abdulmanan! So cool to see you back here. Thanks for answering lightning quickly. You are too kind :-). The business (there are two - mine and the one it's investing in with a partner) is going well if you measure progress and clients signed up. If you measure income - lol! Won't be seeing any until about the middle of next year. It's an interesting lesson in managing from month to month on very little. Bank issue resolved, thank you. You have such a sharp memory! And how are things on your side?

And my best wishes are with you for your ventures. With a new table, the sky will be your limit! And thank you for the laugh. I remember your setup, which was crazier than mine. I hope your new table is more comfortable.
hahah yes new table is more comfortable, but now chair is the problem and i need to change it too :P
but not now.
One thing at a time. One foot in front of the other, pole pole (what I learned climbing Kili). We'll get there. I'm looking forward to seeing a photo of you with your new table and your future chair once the three of you are all in the same room :-).

The Spring has many colors and it will bloom the flowers and every tree will gain a new life by getting new leaves. :)
Thank you for the welcome back, @shainaaltaf. And the problem was what they call tennis elbow - it's actually tendonitis in the elbow (doesn't have to come from playing tennis :-)) and it made it really difficult for me to spend more than a few minutes at a time at the keyboard and especially with the mouse. It seems to have gone away now, so I'm happy and back on Steemit :-).
