How much Steem Power is required to reward posts?
Alrighty - I have been on Steemit now for 3 weeks and have amassed a mind blowing 26 Steem Power (SP). Yes, yes, you heard right 26!!

Now that you have all had your laugh, let me continue.
In these 3 weeks, I have yet to be able to award anyone's post which I up-vote, a single cent. Sad, isn't it? Even when my voting power is at 100%, an up-vote from me still awards $0.00. Sad panda.
So now my question to the community is this:
How much Steem Power (SP) will I require to at least award good content one single, measly little cent?!?
Extrapolating from that, for the more whale-oriented of community members, how much SP do you have, and how much can you award to a post?
Please leave comments below. My aim is to collect all the data you as the community can provide and then draw up some stats/graphs so that all the little fishies can see what amount of SP they need to aim for, to be able to give real rewards to good content being posted.
I will then do an analysis and post my findings in a follow-up post.

When I joined, I bought just under 2BTC worth of Steem power, which was $1100 dollars of account value. Then the price of steem dropped, but my SP never did. Initially my upvote was worth at least $0.01, but if the value of the post is already higher then my vote seems to be worth more..... however now that my account value has dropped my votes are now worth $0.008 or something like that.
I'd say its probably around 400SP for $0.01 upvote power.

I have 50 SP now, all that in four weeks worth of works.
I see my UPVOTES work well for the whales.
Something like .05 to $10.00 at peak times.
I am vary of these. They are not getting my UPVOTES .

How much do you need for curation rewards? Has anyone gotten those yet?
I've had just few where I voted in the first 30 min and then it got hot afterwards and received about .01, but mostly I've gotten nothing for 99% of votes.
Very good question. I have no clue. I am still fuzzy on exactly how one GETS curation awards. I think I have only ever received curation rewards twice.

I got both most of the time.
Based on observation, it seems like it's about 200ish => .01. I've seen a handful of posts go from 0 to 0.01 as a result of a vote from someone in that general ballpark. Hard to say exactly as the posts normally had 3-5 other votes from really low SP users. I would imagine the formula is some combination of number of votes and SP on voters. A lot of small SP votes may or may not amount to more than a single high SP vote.

No, it is more like 500 SP, the reason you see sometimes 0.01 appeares after 200SP vote is that your vote just add about 0.005 to already excited 0.005 from previous upvotes (but that was not displayed)

I've been wondering this myself. I see my stats disappear as people with more voting power come after me.
This is still confusing to me... i just added 0.01 with my upvote, and I am a minnow by any estimations. I do this because I like the open source / decentralization of the platform... that is the way of the future in my opinion!

It might be that your contribution of say 10% of a cent in as added to an already existing 99% of a cent that just wasn't visible?
When I joined I Powered up with 275 Steem. My upvote still averages $.02-$.03 sometimes it is much higher. I have no explanation for it.
