RE: 1 Week On Steemit: Weekly Roundup Post

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

Keeping your feed clean (and occasional spring cleaning) is so important as your feed is really the only way to consistantly find relevant content.

A few thoughts about your questions -

  1. Week one is a little early to start worrying about witnesses, consider choosing a proxy (@snook for example) while you learn more. You can change this at any time.

  2. I am opposite of many. I upvote my comments to rise above on overloaded posts. Your vote is your stake. But consider what message you are sending by looking at the proportion (steemreports.com makes charts!). If you only upvote yourself, you are not making community.

  3. Again, dont get ahead of yourself. Like most things in life there are shades of grey and you will get the hang of it. Generally never profitable except in very specific circumstances, and small amounts do not give you any visibility. Early voting by bots actually discourages organic votes because of the way the curation algorithm works.

  4. Do it! Best practice is to state that a link (or some links in this article) are affiliate links.

Here's to another great week!

Hi!
Thank you so much for taking the time to send me such great advice. I think you're right- it's too easy to get ahead of yourself on here and worry about things, when actually writing content, building community and making links to others and having some fun with it is way more important :) Hope you have a great week too, E x
