I used to be guilty of saving my passwords in a browser, until he really showed me how easy it was to hack! Pretty scary!
For Mac - Keepass is a good free option. It is an open source software. I personally use 1Password though and that is the main one he would recommend too. It cost money, but is so easy to use. I can quickly access my passwords on my laptop, iPad and iPhone in seconds.
