Commenting On Trending Posts Is Pure Silver
Are You Getting No Love On Steemit?
It's a lot easier to start accumulating Steem Dollars making good comments on trending posts then making a lot of Steem Dollars writing posts, particularly when you don't have a following yet. You can make endless comments without penalty whereas you can only make 4 posts a day before you get a penalty. Many baseball players do quite well hitting singles and doubles with a few home runs. Only a few ball players can consistently hit it out of the park.
How To Effectively Post Comments On Trending Topics
- Find a relatively fresh post on trending topics.
- Find a reply near the top that has been upvoted and looks like it has enough Steem Dollars to stay on top.
- Make a good reply to that comment and not to the original post. This insures you comment will stay near the top of the trending post for the course of it's paying lifetime.
Remember make an insightful comment and not just "I agree", etc. Make your comment apply to the person you are replying to and to the main post. By making your comment to one of the top replies you are giving your comment a chance to be seen by a lot of eyes. It's okay to add a GIF to your comment but that your comment is unique and that the GIF is the cherry on the top!
Cheers
It will still depend on the user if he want to upvote your commented post. It will be better if you just reply with the OP and do the best possible way to have a great content in your replied post.
You are spot on to a point. You have no guarantee of being upvoted if you reply to a top comment. But at least you are giving yourself a chance to be seen instead of being buried at the bottom of the comments where not nearly as many people will see your comment.
The more you try to reply a great content for Op's post. The higher the chance you will get a jackpot upvote. That's why It will still better to comment from OP rather than riding with high voted from comments but you also had a point that if you know your reply on a comment will hit an upvote then better to do it.
i recommend you read this as this is my similar post about commenting in a bit different way should help you more then above one

Fabulous tips @coinz maybe this is why I have goose eggs for curation rewards? Alas, I'm learning something new every day and these bits of knowledge are very helpful. Thank you.
I don't know if this works so well at curation rewards directly. It will help you get author rewards which will get you SBD which you can power up to Steem Power which then will help you with curation. Hope that makes sense.
I agree~
