Twitter is back to work partly after a global break

Twitter said its small blogging platform was partially back after more than one hour of disruption in the world.
"We were out of service ... and now we're going back slowly, sorry," Chief Executive Jack Dorsey said in a chirp.

The company said the holidays were due to a change in the rules of procedure, adding that they are working to solve the problem completely.

Down Detector.com, a specialist in monitoring such interruptions, had earlier shown that nearly 70,000 people worldwide reported problems with Twitter.

Shares in the company fell slightly in electronic trading.
