Sunlight powers the solar panel which charges the batteries and powers the Solar Cam which means no cables to connect and no batteries to recharge. Solar Cam goes to sleep mode when nothing happens in order to conserve battery. Even though its infrared sensors is always watching and monitoring the heat changes and wakes up and starts recording the event.

Hmm. Its not a bad innovation. in the product you hunt is there a back up power when it at night time (regardless of the batteries)?
I like the fact it's solar charged so no batteries and wires are required. Altough a battery back up could be useful just in case there's a longer period of no sunlight.
The sleep mode for conserving energy while still detecting infared heat is a nice addition.
But solar panels have some lifespan too and the power it can generate and give degrades as time passes by. So, after all you still have to replace it. Haha lol!

This is pretty useful, decoupling a security camera from the need to be wired up, which opens up many new places for placing them. I guess these still need to be placed in an area with sun, so they can't quite monitor underground bunkers and such but they still enhance the security camera repertoire - variety is strength, after all!

Sometime we don't see the sun for a whole week, Then how it will be charged then? Is there any backup plan for situation like this?

It is a very good idea when your camera is placing outdoors. It can make use of the solar power which is a very environmentally friendly energy. In long term, it may also reduce the power consumption and the electrice fee.
A safety camera that produces its own energy. With this product, we can watch our garden. When electricity is cut off, it continues to work.
