CleanShot is a macOS app that makes capturing of screenshots and screen recordings without Desktop icons easy.
You take a screenshot of your desktop or record without showing the desktop icons.
This is really cool when you don't want people to see the apps you have on your desktop or your files.
This is very useful for people who make tutorial videos.
Features
- It has a Quick Access Overlay which allows drag & drop, copy or save screenshots.
- It records screen without showing the desktop icons
- Allows toggling of the desktop icon permanently when not recording
- It allows one to set a specific wallpaper which can be either a photo or plain color

Its sounds really cool to capture the screen without all the clutter on the desktop. I have looked into the project and found some interesting features like:
This tool will save my time to hide all desktop icons when taking screenshots and also record videos perfectly. Thanks for sharing the cool products in @steemhunt. I will get a clean screenshot and a good screen recording for some of my work.

Pros:
Very necessary for screen recordings.
Cons:
For screenshots, this is unnecessary. When I'm on Windows, I just use the good ol trusty Snipping tool which lets me crop exactly what I want.
Suggestions:
Create an app for ios and android which crops out the notification strip at the top -- sometimes you post screenshots from your mobile and you don't want everyone to see which apps you're running (could be a security risk or people know you're not on VPN etc)
