Hunter's comment

Hello hunters. Recently I have been hunting on the technological gadget that benefits the environment and human itself for producing their own waste. And I came across this coolest product named "Sol-Char Toilet".

Solar cells are used to provide heat energy to the fibre optic cable that burns the poop into useful end products called biochar. The biochar then can be used as a fertilizers to grow agricultural crops. Everything is done autonomously. There is no need of flushing the toilet and it is safe and healthy.

Urine, once it has been thermally treated by the system for safe handling, can be used as a nitrogen rich fertilizer. The Sol-Char process can be designed for any number of users by scaling the solar power input accordingly.

Estimated Capital cost of $3,500 (family), $11,000 (shared) looks pretty high. They did a demo in India as well in 2014. Looks like they are not yet production ready, because of this price challenges and they have been advised by researchers to make production in India or China .

Yeah, that's definitely a high price. I get why this product would be very useful, but the people who can afford this are not the same as the people who need this.

That's a pretty steep price! Hmmm, I do love the concept though. I also think the product needs more productisation; Maybe by doing so, the costs can be further lowered.

I hope they will optimize the design to suit better affordable price🙂

This is an Industrial Product, and I hope you hunt products that are not this kind of technology. Not everyone is going to click to this.

Like @sanmi already said this is a quite expensive technology but I really can see this working as a public toilet. I really like the idea and find projects like this (up-cycling by products) really cool.

Great hunt @leoumesh
Products like this are highly in need in current era because we need more sources of energy and natural ways to grow our crops.
This is the best use and should really be appreciated by the comunity. It will not only reduce the severage needs but also will help grow our foods.
With its installation, we won't need to buy fertilizers. It is once and all investment and a good one for the planet.
You did awesome hunt. BEST OF LUCK FOR IT.

You're right @adnan556644. We won't need any place to maufacture fertilizers since its the safest one🙂

Fantastic innovation. Biochar has been proven to be a store of carbon that could otherwise have gone to the atmosphere as emission. Instead, they are turned to invaluable agricultural product to enhance productivity. I hope this special toilet goes mainstream. Would be good for us all

This is a very great projects that shows how we can create a closed energy circle based on human waste. With Sol-char Toilet it is possible to turn your Poo into something that can be burned to deliver Energy back to your home. The burning part comes from Solar Energy wires that are connected to that device.
Very useful technology and innovative. I hope that it could become a mainstream thing to do.
Great Hunt and thanks for sharing!

Thanks for your amazing review @masterthematrix😉

Maybe we cannot turn our negative ideas into something useful, but with this, we can turn our poop into energy in the form of fertilizer. Great idea to take advantage of our everyday wastes.

Incredible Hunt!

@leoumesh this is a cool hunt. Nothing go to waste, and not even human waste there can be burned to useful products called biochar. This can certainly act as fertilizers which farmers do already but now it is done automonously. Great hunt.

So we should have our toilet outside for it to be able to capture the sun energy? This seems more appropriate for outdoor events or toilets along the road or public areas.

Or, hopefully the developers add more improvement to capture solar energy even if it is inside a facility.

@macoolette, even if its outdoor there will be safety. There will be a lock and ample space for you to comfortably poo😂. Most people in this world don't have attached bathroom in room like we have🙂
