3d printing is advancing fast. From simple shapes, now we are having complex equipments and bio organs being printed.
3D printing opens up a lot of possibilities and with the help of good designs we can build some really nifty gadgets. Arthur C. Clarke's "Profiles of the Future" talked about these possibilities in 60s. He would be proud if he was alive.
These alternatives are cheap because there is a lot of costs saved due to lack of middlemen and other expenses. The 3D printed versions cannot replace the larger commercial ones. But small homeowners don't need those big products. A lawn mover like this is just the right thing for them.
