Overdelegation option
For users that have delegated more than can be matched with a full 100% upvote you now have two options...
An overdelegation is any delegation that can't be covered by a full 100% upvote. For example, someone delegating 1 million sp when we only have 2.5 million total delegated would be an overdelegation as the 2.5 million total SP can only support a delegation of 125k with a full 20x upvote.
Currently, users who delegate more sp than can be covered with a full 100% upvote receive liquid steem payments in order to make up the difference between that full upvote and getting their full 20x upvote value.
That was the only option, until now...
Now users that are over-delegated have the option of receiving liquid steem OR an upvote to make up that difference. The total value will still be equal to that same 20x but the way you receive it can now change.
For those interested in receiving upvote in lieu of extra steem just need to let us know on this post or any other post and we will make the switch for you.
If we do not hear from you, we will assume you want the liquid steem option.
For all other users that are not facing an overdelegation, this will not impact you in any way. :)

I just delegated, would the bot automatically know this, and do I get a vote when I create posts?
Yes, it will update your delegation automatically.
As it stands right now, @upex upvotes posts one time every 24 hours, which means that if you have posted less than 24 hours from your prior upvote, you likely will not get the upvote.
However, we are in the process of transitioning towards starting and ending each day at a set time, so if you post at any time during that window, you will get your upvote.
How do I know the window duration to get an upvote currently? What time does the bot function?
For now there is a 24-hour window, your next post will be voted again after 24 from the first post, that is, the old post must be 24 hours old before you post again

Currently, UPEX does not give voting until 24 hours have passed. I saw in your notice few days ago that now you are changing this(24hrs) to voting by setting a standard time such as 0 o'clock or 9 am in the future. What is the current progress of this work?
Yes that is correct, we are in the process of making the change to a start and end time each day. We are in the final stages of testing before making the change and will announce accordingly when we are ready to make that change. As it stands today, we are hoping to make the change in the next few days, but will let everyone know for sure when the change is ready to be made. Because people can't upload posts exactly every 24 hours, The current system(voting 'after 24 hours' of previous vote) will see a gradual delay in the time of voting, So there will may be days voting is missing. It can be a negative factor in people's calculations of the return on UPEX.

Yes this was our conclusion as well, which is why we have decided to make the change. We are hoping to make the change in the next couple days, we will be sure to let everyone know when we do. :)

Good day, I have an inquiry about the voting power of UPEX.
Now UPEX's voting power is around 72%, which has been steadily decreasing over the past few days. In this case, even if users receive 100% full voting, the price will continue to decrease.
It is same goes for receiving liquid steem. This become, after all, minus factor in calculating the return on UPEX.
Other services are controlled to maintain their voting power at around 80%, so I wonder how you adjusting to maintain the voting power of UPEX. Can you to explain it?
The voting power should remain between about 75-85 for the majority of the time. As of right now it is 77:
Upvu was 79 and justyy was 78 last time I checked, so we are not too far out of where they are. There are going to be times during the day when more upvotes are made and voting power is lower, like perhaps when you have been checking. The recent drop was due to a large delegation being removed that pushed the voting power lower than it had been.
That being said we are monitoring it and will keep an eye on it. If voting power gets too low, we may have to adjust the multiplier for upvotes from 20x to 18x, but we have no plans of doing that just yet and we would make sure to let everyone know well in advance before we ever made that move.

Did you know that an upvote partially goes back into the pool in the first 5 minutes after a post?
Best practice is voting after 5 minutes.
Got it. Thanks for letting us know! :) And yes we are aware of the voting algorithm. We have the bot setup to vote right around the 5 min mark, though sometimes there are API issues and the vote doesn't go off exactly at our target time.
