RE: Why don't we do more soft Promotion of Steem?
yes for sure. i have another little steemhelper first coming up but have been thinking for a long time to do a very simple service which hooks in ur social profiles (twit, fb at first) and then lets u autoshare any content u post on steem on those other channels you connected. what would you say? useful?
I really like that idea @roelandp , as pretty much apps like instagram sync with Facebook and such , so you can share your story, photo , song snippet , article etc and it automatically posts it on other social media. It can be a ninja way of soft promotion , if it added a little footer ''Posted from my steemit(or any app used) account" with a small link it could lead to a curious click that could mean another member getting onboard.
It is funny but just ''saving a few clicks'' can do a lot of things on a web based world as users always prefer to have it all served in the plate . I can include myself there .. I don't use facebook anymore but sometimes I share a song snippet through my instagram and let it sync.. if not ..my facebook would be a completely dead account by now. So , short answer : YES! it would be very useful! Cheers :D !
That's perfect @roelandp we need more cross pollination.. cheering steem to the moon only towards steemians does little to attract more users of our token.
Hey @roelandp - that would be useful! I nearly followed this post by @anarcotech in April when I was doing a bit of social media sharing in advance of the London Show.....but in the end just seemed easier to do manual share for me. I know you and Dylan are both techy - so this probably is really straightforward for you, and I just thought I would share just in case there is a shortcut or something useful in this post for your upcoming project: https://steemit.com/tutorial/@anarcotech/how-to-automatically-push-your-steem-blockchain-posts-to-twitter-or-pretty-much-any-other-platform-in-2-minutes
yes! 100 points! ifttt is the best. i wasnt aware of an rss feed. oh wait u hacked that one. love it! would it make things easier to have a dedicated service for steem? i only want to make stuff people actually use.
thanks for your link. great hack!
A think the service you propose also sounds very useful. There are some good ideas on @meno's page - it probably all warrants a Community Ideas Survey to gather a consensus!! (PS that link was all Dylan's work)
