I doubt he has. I don't know him on a personal level. I came across him years ago on YouTube, as he had a large following even then. I'm guessing Steem (at this point) is not high on his to do list, as he probably added it as a possible additional revenue stream to his already existing ones. Based on his results here so far, I would further surmise he would not have anything positive to say about it being a model for influencers to add to their already existing models.
As to putting a note on his blog, as I said above, I doubt at this point he would want to promote Steem(it). The fact that he is posting from his official website using SteemPress would seem proof enough to me, as that would prove it is coming from his official site (verifiable via SteemWorld per the link I posted in the post).
One should not have to go to another venue (Discord) to appeal sloppy targeting. Steemcleaner is the one who initiated this dynamic, and the burden should rest upon their shoulders to make some effort to verify the truth of their claims (slander in this case) before they initiate such action. They are acting holier than thou against people who actually matter to large groups of people. Because of this, they win my idiot of the week award.
well I've been around the platform long enough to have seen that in the big picture steemcleaners does more good than harm. There are some hardworking dedicated volunteers there who are more than willing to meet reasonable people halfway.
While it seems frustrating to go to discord to resolve a problem, it is the most direct way to deal with the problem.
It is rather odd since he's using Steempress that there is an issue at all but some things do fall through the cracks at times.
Many, like myself, refuse to join another social site in order to operate on this one. It seems odd to have to do that. I know for myself, given all I have read of Discord, will never have an account with them. Seems to me that if someone is going to appoint themselves police of Steemit, they should make themselves available on the platform they are acting as judge and jury on and not a different one.
joining another site to supplement use of a site isn't that uncommon. I also write on Medium. Over there they use Facebook groups to communicate beyond the comments on posts.
There is a lot of Steem activity taking place on Discord that makes the difference for many new Steemians between growing on Steem or leaving. Your choice if you go there or not.
As for Steemcleaners being available on Steem... cute trick... find the right post to leave a comment on and maybe we can respond. Even when they first started up they used steem.chat to communicate. A discord server makes their ability to work with people a lot more organized.
I'm guessing that the dynamic will remain as it is, and many like Tommy will be less than impressed and either choose not to pursue, choose to leave or worse, give their honest opinion on how backwards things are here.
As for it not being uncommon, there are many like myself (and more joining weekly) who refuse to use Fakebook. If I (and others) wanted to do this on Fakebook or Discord, we would simply post there.
