Cryptocurrency bloodbath continues - Steem at a steal price of 1.54 USD! Are you loaded?
Hello fellow Steemians,
It has been a while since I wrote anything crypto related but the sharp correction of the past few weeks might be just the perfect time to give out some thoughts on the topic and to hear out your opinion as well. The whole cryptomarket has lost hundreds of billions of dollars since its January highs. Such a correction was expected but in all honesty, I was not expecting it to go this low. What I was not foreseeing at all was to see the price of Steem under 2 bucks ever again. And here we are, Steem is trading at 1.54 USD at the time of writing. Anything is possible in this space.
Even though we can still go a bit lower from here, I personally think that Steem at this price is a real steal and gives a great buying opportunity for those that have not had a chance to get in. I have said it on numerous occasions in the past that it is a shame seeing many of you spending a lot of time and effort on this platform and not investing a single dollar to buy your stake in this wonderful project that has the potential to make the Steem holders very wealthy in the years to come. It is the times when the value of our crypto portfolios are shrinking when I appreciate my Steem investment the most. No other crypto in my portfolio is giving me regular payouts besides the Steem. So even though the price is plunging I am still making money on my investment for being active here. So why not you? It would be shame to see big institutions or wealthy individuals snapping all the available Steem at those levels. Please, do not take this as a financial advice, use your own diligence, I am just saying my thoughts out loud. This market conditions might last a while but there will be a time when we hit the bottom and we will start reversing. I still don´t see a reason why the price of Steem shouldn´t be worth hundreds of dollars in the years to come. In the meantime let´s blog, have some fun and support each other while we go through those unfavourable market contiditions. In all honestey, I do not really care for this price drop since I am in this for a long haul. How about you guys, what are your thoughts?

I agree with your observations but I think that most of the true believers already bought steem at much higher prices. The majority steemians are without money to invest. Speculators are still waiting with cash on the sidelines.

I also think most alt coins (including Steem) are at a great discount! I think it is a perfect time to either add to an existing position or jump into the space for the first time! I think we are finally close to the bottom and we will see a massive upside in the second half of 2018! it was a much needed correction after that incredible run we had over December!
Yep, we are on the same wave:).... I think we will see another epic run at some point later in the year!

Yeah, killing me right now that I don't have the money to be buy...because, seriously, Steem pays for itself so quickly...between the community and other people, it's a self-reinforcing crypto. It's not going away no matter how hard the mainstream tries to get rid of it. Keep on doing your awesome thing! Love the ways you're helping to build and strengthen the community :)

For a past month with ever passing day the crypto world went down down down but yu know what i was thinking for past two weeks to buy some steem at this point because you too mentioned above
I was actually looking for the second opinion to invest in it and i got my answer. I am more than 100% confident that it's gonna bounce back even more strongly as i was reading an article of @stephenkendal in which he mentioned you will witness the highest price of Steem after the mid of June 2018.
It is also true that it is a tough period economically but we should support each other through our kind comments/upvotes to enjoy the situation in a more brilliant way. Thanks for the detailed advise Tomas

Oh I agree this is a good time to be buying! I haven't bought since November 2017 until this past week. I started adding again when it dropped under $2.50 and may just have to buy more today.

I have been buying bitcoin and Etheruem. It is a great opportunity as the prices will reverse soon. I would love to but steem dollars but not sure which wallet will be best as bitrex is not taking on any minnows and polonix has me waiting for 2 months now to verify. If there is any advice as to a different wallet please let me know. I'm new to all the crypto currency so still a a bit of a noob😀
I am bying at Bittrex and powering up straight here on the platform. Works perfectly!
