STEEM-POCALYPSE SURVIVAL GAME CONTEST - SEASON 6 DAY 2 ROUND 1 - 125 SBD PRIZE POOL SO FAR
THIS POST IS PART OF AN ELIMINATION GAME – DO NOT REPLY TO IT UNLESS YOU ARE PLAYING
In the last round the players had a chance to potentially get some firepower or perhaps even a vehicle. Some went for it all, and some walked away from it all, but most wound up in-between. Let’s see what the results of the options were.
DAY 1 ROUND 2 RESULTS
OPTION 1 - Try to grab all three of the firearms and sneak off.
With the dome light on and a pile of guns on the seat, some players made the move to try to grab them all. They snuck up to the truck just fine, and grabbed the first one… and the second one. Then came the third one, and so did the men who had parked the truck.
From across the street three men emerged from a building. Seeing the shadowy figure of the players with an armload of firepower leaving the truck, the first man shouted, “STOP!”
Of course the players new better, but with three guns in hand, it was difficult to even try to defend themselves. Of course they ran, but they did not outrun the bullets.
And so arrives the first fatalities in this season of the STEEM-Pocalypse Survival Game Contest.
The Players who chose Option 1 have perished and are now eliminated from gameplay for Season 6.
OPTION 2 - Try to start the truck and drive away with all the firearms.
Some of the players chose to try to start the truck in an attempt to not only get all the guns, but the truck as well.
RRMMMMMM!
The truck started right up, and the men came running right out too. Quickly the players who chose this option peeled out and began to speed away. Just as quickly the men raised their other weapons and began to unload.
20 MPH… 25 MPH… 30 MPH…
But the bullets went even quicker….
The Players who chose Option 2 have also perished and are now eliminated from gameplay for Season 6.
OPTION 3 - Try to run away and leave the truck and firearms alone.
Some of the players chose to just take off and flee the area. After reading through the results from the last two options, I bet that they are glad that they did. Thought they did not gain anything, they did not lose their lives.
The Players who chose Option 3 last time got nothing but are still alive.
OPTION 4 - Try to just grab the pistol and then run away.
Quickly they snuck up, and just as quickly they grabbed the pistol and turned away. As they raced back into the shadows, the men emerged from the building across the street, and began to walk back to the truck.
Since the players were unnoticed, the men were unaware, giving the players time to escape. A few blocks down, the players stopped to check their pistol. Inside, there are 8 rounds of ammunition… not bad.
The Players who chose Option 4 now have a pistol and 8 rounds of ammunition. Please include this information in your reply to avoid losing your inventory.
OPTION 5 - Try to just grab the shotgun and then run away.
This option worked out the same as Option 4, only the shotgun had 5 rounds in it.
The Players who chose Option 5 now have a shotgun and 5 rounds of ammunition. Please include this information in your reply to avoid losing your inventory.
OPTION 6 - Try to just grab the rifle and then run away.
This option worked out the same as Option 4 & Option 5, only the rifle had 6 rounds in it.
The Players who chose Option 6 now have a rifle and 6 rounds of ammunition. Please include this information in your reply to avoid losing your inventory.
DAY 2 ROUND 1 SCENARIO
So, the unarmed players who chose to run and those who only tried to grab one firearm are still on the move and still in the game. Since players must eat at least once within every 2 day period of gameplay, many are getting hungry already.
In a city where tens of thousands have been fighting over every last piece of food for months now, locating anything edible here will take some strategy and effort. Perhaps the players chances would be better in the woods, but it'll take more than a day to safely make it that far.
As the players look around their immediate area, they see a few potential options.
OPTIONS
OPTION 1 - Try to search an abandoned lot for any plants that may be edible.
OPTION 2 – Try to search a looted grocery store across the street for anything that anyone else may have missed.
OPTION 3 – Try to search a few abandoned vehicles lining the street and crashed on the sidewalk.
OPTION 4 – Don't bother trying to find anything to eat this round and just keep going.
PLAYER RESPONSIBILITY

As always, please remember that all outcomes are predetermined. In an elimination survival game, most of your are going to die eventually. Nothing personal.

After successfully pilfering a gun from the car I quietly make my way onward, spurred by a grumbling stomach. I scan the surroundings as I travel, looking for something to sate the pangs. Finally, I come upon a flattened block with a sign reading "A new and improved mall, coming soon!" With the recent outbreak of chaos it lay empty, nature slowly reclaiming the lot. I pull the knife off of my waist and begin to forage.

It's highly possible to find food in that abandoned lot. Not so highly possible in the other two options, besides which I'm concerned about the sewers having been backed up for 2 months. It seems like any scraps you might find in the store carry a high likelihood of contamination. The cars are a slightly better prospect, but it's been high looting time in the city and cars have got to be pretty well picked over. My guess is you may find other inventory in the store or the cars, but food is a fainter prospect and right now you don't know if there is a possibility of food during the rest of the day. If there isn't, anyone who doesn't find food now has a really high chance of being eliminated in the next round. (Higher than usual, that is!)

Feeling a little more secure with a pistol and eight rounds of ammo, I venture onto an abandoned lot in choosing Option 1. Other folks may not know which, if any, plants are edible and possibly overlooked them. It's worth checking out before moving on.

Looking for food in a grocery store sounds hopeless. What the looters haven't found I'm sure the rats (ants) must have finished off with. It might be a similar case with the cars, though there may be a chance to find something else useful. However, right now food must be gotten, and for that I think the abandoned lot is the most ideal place. Let's see what I'll find.

Must of been a glitch or something cause I know I responded the morning after it was posted on my way to work( I ride the train so no worries, no steeming while driving haha). I even discussed the options with my boyfriend the night before and spent the night contemplating which option was best since the two of us didn't agree. Pretty disappointed because Im 100% certain I responded before the cutoff.

did you choose the fatter 🍃 leaves plant. It's called Perslane and has medicinal purposes and edible of course. Though it has a poisonous twin, you can tell if it's safe by observing the leafs, they're safe! I couldn't find anything about the other at all so I'll stick with what I know! Did you choose to team up cause if there's an odd number of people chose that @Charlesarthuriii and I are debating taking a 3rd person to our team depending on your inventory! Hope your having fun here at steem it

You need to specify which gun you have. While only the pistols started with 8 ammo, once you either use some of your ammo or gather more, the amount of ammo alone will not relate to the gun you have.
So make sure you say which gun you have from now on.

While carrying a bottle of gasoline and my new rifle with six bullets, I think I will try and search the looted grocery store. Maybe there is a few cans of something hidden under a fallen shelf. A quick search and then all effort into getting out of this city - Option 2.

thanks for the clarification :), I was calculating as 24 hours. The comment was 10 mins short of the 24 hr deadline. I saw the cut off comment now.
Glad we were able to clear that up. :)
By the way, if you want to sort by age, it doesn't automatically rearrange the comments. You have to refresh the page after you sort by comment age. Then it'll bring up the newest comments first and the oldest comments on the bottom.
Another easy way to tell in this case that she didn't is the fact that her comment is twenty hours old but the post is two days old. The age of a post is changed every twenty-four hours, not midnight-to-midnight.
OPTION 4 – Don't bother trying to find anything to eat this round and just keep going.

We can stop and find food as soon as people aren't eyeballing us as there next meal. I don't even like cities now much less during steem-pocalypse.
