Reigning Ruslan Chinakov of Rusia
Alex Pagulayan was crushed by Ruslan Chinakov of Russia during the title round in American 14.1 Straight Pool Championship which was held at Virginia, USA. Pagulayan got a relief value worth $6,000 while Chinakov got $10,000.
Pagulayan made it to the finals when he vanquished Marco Teutscher from Neatherlands during elimination rounds while Chinakov won against Albin Ouschan in semis. Two Filipino players (Dennis Orcollo and Lee Van Corteza) made the second round however couldn't push ahead.
Orcollo will contend in 2019 SEA Games which will be hung on November 30 until December 11 at Manila, Philippines. Alongside him would be Carl Biado who is the present World no. 4, Rubilen Amit, Jeffrey Ignacio, Johann Chua, Floriza Andal, Warren Kiamco, Iris Rañola and Chezka Centeno. Good karma to every single Filipino player.
