And I agree. When you put your bad habits in the context of time lost then it seems to sting just a little bit more than trying to sway yourself in other ways.
Addiction is a real disease that people live with and coming from the medical community, I am not trying to use the word disease to try to make it seem worse than it is.
People have been suffering from addiction for a long time and it can have very negative effects on one's true will.
Do you think that it may have to do with a lack of definition of one's own true will?
Or
Perhaps it is the seeking (but entrapment) of one's own true will when bad addictions need to be overcome?
Any good philosophers out there who have dealt with this?
